Ms. Specha brought squishy circuit pumpkins to the first grade classrooms over the last few days. Students used special types of dough, a 9 volt battery, and an LED light bulb to complete a circuit and light up the stems of their pumpkins. #STEMinfirstgrade #squishycircuits

Kindergarteners practiced their engineering skills by creating shapes from pumpkins and toothpicks during a Fall themed STEM lesson.

First grade classes enjoyed a visit from a mailman today. They are learning about community helpers this week. Thank you to our local post office for sending someone to speak to our students.
First grade students learned how to use MobyMax after the teacher inservice on Wednesday. It's always nice to see technology at work in the classrooms. Mrs. Thomas, instrucational coach, also assisted a kindergarten class in learning how to log in to some apps on their iPads. It was a great day to be a North Tornado!
